HONOR releases Magic3 series with monster specs and beastly cameras with IMAX branding
Former Huawei sub-brand HONOR today launched its flagship Magic3 series with monstrous specs, powerful cameras, and new interesting tricks.

The company released 3 models, Magic3, Magic 3 Pro, and Magic3 Pro+. These are the first smartphones with IMAX branding that offers exclusive 3D LUT color grading profiles and video recording in the LOG format as well as support for 10-bit colors. HONOR said that this partnership will allow its users to make their own "cinema-quality" films.
Going to the Magic3, the device features a curved glass back, IP54 water and dust resistance, and a 6.76-inch 3D curved glass OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2772 x 1334 resolution, 94.9 percent screen-to-body ratio, and 456 ppi. Of course, it has an In-Display fingerprint reader.
For the chip, it is packed with the 5nm 2.84GHz Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor with Adreno 660 GPU, 8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage, and a 4,600mAh Li-Po battery with USB-C 66W fast charging.
For cameras, it is packed with a massive 50MP f/1.9 1/1.56-inch main shooter paired with a 64MP f/1.8 monochrome camera and a 13MP f/2.2 120-degree ultra-wide camera.
For selfies, it uses a 13MP f/2.4 sensor with a 100-degree field of view.
The device also has stereo audio, WiFi 6, 5G, Bluetooth 5.2 A2DP/LE (aptX HD), OTG, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, BDS, and dual SIM slots.
It measures 162.8 x 74.9 x 9.5 mm and weighs 202 grams. The device is available in Golden Hour (Vegan Leather), Blue Hour (Vegan Leather), Black, and White colors.

Next is the Magic3 Pro. It goes with an IP68-rated body, faster 5nm 2.95GHz Snapdragon 888+ SoC, bigger 256GB/512GB internal storage, and 50MP f/1.9 + 64MP f/1.8 monochrome + 13MP f/2.2 120-degree ultra-wide + 64MP f/3.5 3.5x optical zoom with OIS. This has up to 100x xoom.
The device measures 162.8 x 74.9 x 9.5 mm and weighs 212 grams. It is available in Golden Hour (Vegan Leather), Black, and White colors.
The rest of its specs are similar to the Magic3.

Magic3 Pro+ is the top-end device from the Magic3 series. It comes with similar specs to the Magic3 Pro, but it has a single and larger configuration of 12GB RAM/512GB storage.
The main highlight here is the camera setup that it is using. It goes a 50MP f/1.9 23mm main shooter + 64MP f/2.4 11mm ultra-wide-camera + 64MP f/1.8 monochrome camera + 64MP f/3.4 90mm OIS periscope camera. It also has 8x8 dToF for clear portrait shots and a multi-spectrum color temperature sensor.
The 3 new HONOR smartphones run with Android 11 OS with Magic UI 5.0 and Google Mobile Services.

HONOR did not reveal when the devices will be available on market yet. China will get the devices first. Global availability will be revealed at a later date.'
