Canalys: realme retains top spot in PH, Xiaomi climbs to number 3 (Q2 2021)
Market research firm Canalys has recently revealed the top 5 smartphone vendors in the Philippines for Q2 2021.

It showed that realme maintained its top position registering an annual growth of 51 percent for 26 percent of the country's market share. At number 2 is vivo with negative 4 percent growth, but it still has 19 percent of the pie.
The biggest surprise is Xiaomi. It claimed from the number 5 spot in Q1 2021 to the number 3 spot in Q2 2021. The Chinese tech giant registered a massive annual growth of 318 percent capturing 15 percent of the pie.
Just recently, Xiaomi bested Samsung to take the number 1 smartphone brand rank for the month of June according to Counterpoint Research.
Former market leader Samsung retained its number 4 position. But it had a negative 33 percent growth, the largest among the top 5 brands.
OPPO claimed the number 5 spot with a 12 percent unit share. Its annual growth dropped by negative 28 percent though.
Other aggressive brands like TECNO and Infinix have yet to make the top 5 list.
