According to the latest data from market research firm Canalys, realme reclaimed the top spot in the Philippine smartphone market share for Q1 2021.

realme back on top, Xiaomi on the rise, Samsung declines

The data showed that realme enjoyed a 95 percent growth to capture 23 percent of the market share for the number 1 spot. realme achieved this feat despite only releasing one smartphone, the narzo 30A in late March.
vivo is at number 2 with 18 percent of the market share and a slight 5 percent dip. Similar to realme, vivo only launched one phone during the quarter, the Y31 2021.
Previous number 1 OPPO slipped to number 3 despite recording an annual growth of 148 percent to capture 15 percent of the sell-in shipments in Q1 2021. During the quarter, OPPO launched several devices like the Reno5 series including the Marvel Editon, A74, and A94.
Samsung retained its number 4 spot with 13 percent of the pie. Despite launching the most number of phones in the country like the Galaxy S21 series and Galaxy A series, it recorded a negative 32 percent growth.
Technology giant Huawei is not included in the top 5.

1. realme - 23 percent unit share (+95 percent annual growth)
2. vivo - 18 percent unit share (-5 percent annual growth)
3. OPPO - 15 percent unit share (+148 percent annual growth)
4. Samsung - 13 percent unit share (-32 percent annual growth)
5. Xiaomi - 10 percent unit share (+280 percent annual growth)
