Xiaomi brings Redmi 9T with FHD+ screen, stereo speakers, quad-cam, and more to the Philippines! Start at PHP 6,990!

As expected, Xiaomi today formally launched the Redmi 9T to the Philippine market.

A new budget contender!

To those who missed it, Redmi 9T is a promising budget smartphone packed with strong specs for the low asking price.

This device highlights a unibody build, anti-fingerprint textured back as well as a splash-proof nano-coating in Carbon Gray, Twilight Blue, Sunrise Orange, and Ocean Green colorways. Gorilla Glass 3 as well as a side-mounted fingerprint reader to keep the back design clean.

FHD+ immersive screen

In the front, this is one of the few with a 6.53-inch notch display with FHD+ resolution Widevine L1 (Netflix HD-ready), and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certifications.

Powering this device inside is a 2.0GHz 11nm Snapdragon 662 octa-core processor. It is paired with 4GB or 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB expandable internal storage via a microSD slot.

This also highlights a massive 6,000mAh battery which promises to bring a legit 2-day battery life. The battery can be charged via USB-C up to 18W. Xiaomi will include a 22.5W power brick in the box with backward charging compatibility.

Quad-cam for less

For cameras, it uses a 48MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro + 2MP depth quad-cam setup.

What's new here is the 8MP f/2.2 120-degree ultra-wide-angle shooter. It's the camera sensor that's missing with the POCO M3.

Xiaomi also added a Night mode to allow its users decent looking images in the dark.

For selfies, it has an 8MP f/2.05 front-facing camera.

This device is complete with a side-mounted fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, Hi-Res audio, IR Blaster remote control, WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, and dual SIM slots.
