Basically, this budget phone is mostly the same as the POCO M3 except that it has a new design and a useful ultra-wide-angle camera.

At this price point, this is easily among the most competitive around
based on its specs.

Let's check it out!

For cameras, this is quite nice for the price as expected. It takes natural-looking photos in daylight and overexposure is not present. We are glad that Xiaomi added a wide cam as well. This is the feature that is not present with the POCO M3. It also performed well in close-ups.

In low light, we haven't checked it that much yet. But, it is one of the few budget phones with a Night mode for the main cam.

For selfies, it works well in most conditions. Even its portrait mode is respectable. But, it won't do that well in conditions with harsh lighting and low light.

In videos, you can capture wide and ultra-wide videos. It is weird that we can't set its shooting mode to 1080.

As of the moment

AnTuTu score of Redmi 9T
AnTuTu score of Redmi 9T

This is one of the few budget phones that provides a near-complete experience. It has a good build, 1080p screen, capable overall specs, large battery capacity, decent cameras, and even stereo speakers.

So far, despite a few kinks in its armor, we think that this is a good phone.

We will fully check its capabilities in the next few days. See you in our full review.
