Aiming to build upon the success of its F and X series phones, the POCO M3 continues the company's tradition of providing a device with some of the strongest specs for the price.

To make this possible, the company made the device feature an anti-fingerprint texture back design with a large rectangular camera island housing another hump for the triple-camera setup and LED flash at left and the large POCO logo at right.

To recap, POCO was often criticized for just borrowing Xiaomi or Redmi's design. But this time, this is sporting a stylish and unique design. It is available in 3 colors: Cool Blue, POCO Yellow, and Power Black.

In front, it uses a 6.53-inch 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3 protected LCD (LTPS) screen w/ FHD+ 2340 x 1080 resolution at 395 ppi with a contrast ratio of 1500:1, 400 nits brightness, color temperature adjustment, sunlight mode, standard mode, reading mode 2.0, and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification.

Moreover, it comes with L1 Widevine certification for streaming content in HD quality.

Under the hood, it comes with pretty powerful specs. It is the first in this price point to sport the 2.0GHz 11nm Snapdragon 662 octa-core processor with Adreno 610 GPU. Note that the newer SD662 performs better than the older SD665.

POCO also paired it with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM, 64GB of UFS 2.1 or 128GB of UFS 2.2 expandable storage, a 6,000mAh battery with USB-C 18W fast charging and reverse charging, and an in-box 22.5W charger.

POCO noted that its battery has up to 1,000 cycles for more battery lifespan than your average smartphone.

For cameras, it highlights a 48MP f/1.79 main camera with Night mode, 2MP f/2.4 macro secondary camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth camera. It also has the Movie frame, Time-lapse, and 120fps slow-motion video. In front, it uses an 8MP f/2.05 shooter found in the notch.

To keep the design at the back clean, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

The phone runs with Android 10 OS with MIUI 12 skin. It has the MIUI Game Booster that allows you to track CPU and GPU usage in real-time and the voice changer brings a little spice to your gaming experience. It also has the cast your screen function.
