Xperia 1 II spin-off?

Alongside Sony's announcement of the Sony Alpha 1, the Japanese conglomerate announced the new Xperia Pro. The new smartphone is an upgraded version of 2020's Xperia 1 II but with four 5G mmWave antennas, micro-HDMI port and the ability to be used as an external monitor for a Sony Alpha camera.

It features a massive 6.5-inch 4K 60Hz monitor with Gorilla Glass 6 and HDR support. Inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G SoC, 12GB RAM, 512GB of storage and 4000mAh battery with Fast Charging technology.

The phone connects via WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, 4G LTE, and 5G NR. Sony did not pass on the wireless charging as well as the glass back from the Xperia 1 II to the new Xperia Pro.

In front is an 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera while at the back is a 12MP 1/1.17-inch sensor f/1.7 main camera, 12MP f/2.4 Telephoto camera

The body is IP68 water and dust resistant and it measures 76 x 170 x 10 mm and weighs only 225 grams.

Once connected to a Sony Alpha camera thru the HDMI port at the bottom of the phone, the Xperia Pro works as a 4K HDR external monitor that can also connect to an FTP serve to instantly upload photos and videos from the Sony Alpha camera using 5G Antennas that support both Sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G.
