Local broadcasting firm TV5 today launched its very own DTV box called "Sulit TV" priced at just PHP 890.
The new digital box aims to bring a "complete" Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) experience to Filipino families.
To recap, versus older technologies, DTT provides a clearer reception and wider coverage. It is on a free-to-air digital format. TV5 said that has no monthly fees and comes with a one-year warranty as well.
The broadcasting company added that owners of the new Sulit TV can record whatever they're watching with one press of a button and even play external media like videos and music saved on a compatible USB device.
With the use of the new Sulit Box, the company said that its viewers will have better access to their free-to-air channels like TV5, One Sports, and One PH.
TV5 is the third broadcast firm to launch its own DTV box. ABS-CBN first launched the TV Plus in 2015. GMA-7 released its Affordabox Digital TV Receiver last year.
