Along with Xiaomi 11T series, the Chinese tech giant unveiled the rebranded Mi Pad 5 4G as the Pad 5.
To recall, the Mi Pad 5 series was announced in China just a month ago. This lineup consists of three variants, but only the Mi Pad 5 4G got a global release recently.
The Pad 5 comes in two colors: Cosmic Gray and Pearl White. In front, it sports an 11-inch WQHD+ (2560 x 1600 pixel) TrueTone display that has a 120Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, as well as Dolby Vision and HDR10 support. The tablet supports Face Unlock and supports split-screen for multitasking.
Inside, this tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC, along with 6GB of RAM as standard. The Xiaomi Pad 5 is also equipped with up to 256GB of internal storage.
It packs an 8,720mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. Xiaomi claims it offers up to 10 hours of gaming, 16 hours of video playback, and 5 days of music playback.
For photos and videos, the Xiaomi Pad 5 comes with a 13-megapixel camera sensor at the back, along with an LED flash. In front, it has an 8MP selfie camera at the front with a 1080p recording.
The company paired the huge display with quad speakers with support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio. Connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth v5, USB Type-C port, and more. For OS, it uses an Android 11.
The company also introduced the Xiaomi Smart Pen. The Xiaomi Pad 5 supports the newly- announced accessory. The Smart Pen comes with two buttons, one which allows users to take swift notes and the other allows for instant screenshots.
Moreover, this one reportedly comes with 4,096-level pressure sensitivity and weighs only 12.2 grams. Also, it supports gesture navigation and has TPE soft tips that can be replaced. The magnetic clip-on also acts as a wireless charging base for the Xiaomi Smart Pen. Xiaomi said that it takes only 18 minutes to be fully charged.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 will be available this coming September 23, 2021. However, there's no word yet if this will arrive outside Europe.
