The Mi Pad 5 is said to be the first Xiaomi tablet in three years after the launch of its predecessor Mi Pad 4 in 2018. It comes in two models, Mi Pad 5 and the Mi Pad 5 Pro. The latter has two variants, one is 5G-enabled while the other one only has Wi-Fi support.

Both models sport the same design and 11-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600. Their screens also have a 120Hz refresh rate, 500 nit max brightness, and HDR10 support. They also feature TrueTone technology that is designed for adapting the colors and brightness to ambient light.

Inside, both Xiaomi tablets are equipped with powerful processors. The  Mi Pad 5 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 chipset paired with 6GB RAM  with two storage options, 128GB or 256GB.

Meanwhile the Pad 5 Pro bumps that up to the Snapdragon 870 chipset coupled with 6GB RAM and also two storage options of 128GB or 256GB. The 5G version is powered by 8GB RAM with 256 internal memory.

Moreover, the Mi Pad 5 packs an 8,720mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The mobile brand claims it can be fully charged in just 91 minutes. On the other hand, the Mi Pad 5 Pro has an 8,600mAh battery capacity with 67W fast charging support. According to Xiaomi, it can be 100 percent charged in just 67 minutes.

The pill-shaped camera island on the Pad 5 holds a single 13MP shooter, whereas the Pad 5 Pro (Wi-Fi) has a 13MP main and 5MP ultra-wide sensors. The Pad 5 Pro 5G got a 50MP sensor with a 5MP ultrawide lens.

All of them have an 8MP shooter on the front. Also, they have four stereo speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos. There are two on top and two on the bottom.

The whole lineup Mi Pad 5 series has support for a magnetic keyboard cover and stylus. The stylus weighs 12.2 grams with two buttons on its side. It offers a 240Hz touch sampling rate and has its own battery that allegedly can last for 8 hours on a single charge.

As for the magnetic keyboard cover, Xiaomi said it will offer it in three colors to match the colorways of the tablets. The stylus and keyboard are each sold separately.
