Samsung's 'Screens Everywhere, Screen for All' vision

During the Samsung Developer Conference 2021, Samsung revealed a ton of improvements to Bixby, Samsung Health, Samsung Knox and Tizen OS.

Based on the company's 'Screens Everywhere, Screen for All' vision, Samsung has aimed to enable new experiences thru its Tizen TV platform. One improvement resulted from the company's open collaboration with Google that allows users to enjoy better video calling on TVs via the AI-enabled focus and zoom features. Another improvement is that Samsung Health on Smart TVs can now connect with webcams to analyze movements and provide real-time feedback during a user's workout.

In the enterprise space, Samsung will launch Tizen for Business. This is a service that supports interactive e-boards in schools, kiosks and displays in restaurants, and in public transit.

But the biggest news is that Samsung is letting other manufacturers license Tizen OS. This allows manufacturers to use Tizen OS quickly with a minimal cost which enables manufacturers to use the Tizen TV presence to promote their products in the Smart TV while helping more consumers enjoy Tizen.

This means manufacturers and end users can benefit from the already established platform that is complete with streaming services like Apple Music, Apple TV+, Disney+, Hulu, Netflix, Prime Video, Spotify, YouTube, YouTube Kid and YouTube TV.

This move is not new as Roku and LG have allowed other brands to use their own platforms.
