Redmi Watch 2 with 1.6-inch AMOLED screen now official!

Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Watch 2 as part of its Redmi Note 11 series launch event.

The tech giant has already revealed the successor to the Redmi Watch released about a year ago. The Redmi Watch 2 features a few upgrades over its predecessor, mainly on the display.

Weighing only 31g, the Watch 2 has ATM water resistance. The Redmi Watch 2 comes in Blue, Black, and Ivory casing with Olive, Brown, and Pink strap colors.

According to the company, this new wearable is equipped with a 1.6-inch AMOLED display with support for more than 100 pre-installed watch faces and an always-on display. With its ultra-thin bezels, it got a 63.7 percent screen-to-body ratio.

With a magnetic charger

Allegedly, the company has upgraded this watch to a low power-consumption chipset and battery management algorithm. In return, it promises up to 12 days of battery life. This also comes with a brand-new magnetic charger.

Xiaomi claims that this watch makes use of professional algorithms to monitor and analyze heart rate, training duration, and calorie consumption. Aside from that, it has SpO2 and sleeps monitoring

In addition to this, Redmi Watch 2 boasts 117 exercise and sports modes, complemented by a built-in GPS module that supports location services like BeiDou, Galileo, and GLONASS. Xiaomi said it even has NFC onboard for making contactless payments.

The Redmi Watch 2 is now available for order and will go on sale in China starting from November 11. There's no announcement yet from Xiaomi if this will be released outside the said country.
