Alleged TECNO POVA 5G renders and some details leaked before debut

A YouTube Channel, Tech Arena24 revealed the alleged images and key specs of the upcoming TECNO POVA 5G ahead of the brand's official launch.

This also marks as the brand's first 5G device and as the name suggests this smartphone will belong to the POVA lineup. To recall, the POVA series are marketed as smartphones that have big batteries and are capable of gaming despite a low price tag.

Based on the renders surfaced online, the TECNO POVA 5G for its front part, appears with a huge screen, centered punch-hole design, slim bezels on the side, and a thick chin bezel below. While at the back you'd find a Triple camera setup, LED flash and slant patterned back cover. 

Tech Arena 24 mentioned that its display has 6.9-inch IPS LCD panel, FHD+ resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate.

They also mentioned that it will be sporting 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC inside and is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. For the battery, it will be powered by a 6,000mAh battery with an 18W fast charging capability.

For the rear cameras, it will be sporting a 50MP module but other than that there are no details yet for other sensors as well as with its front-facing shooter.

While connectivity options will include a USB-C port, a headphone jack, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi. As for the software, it will be running Android 11 out of the box.

The rumored price for the device ranges from USD 280 to 300 (around PHP 14K to 15K). The actual pricing and availability will be revealed during the launch event.

In India and a few other countries, the Tecno Pova 5G is expected to compete with the Redmi Note 11T 5G smartphone.

It will most likely be available in African stores in December.
