iQOO 9 and 9 Pro launched with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 120W fast charging

iQOO just launched two flagship smartphones—the IQOO 9 and the 9 Pro which both carry the latest processor and superfast charging technology.

Two flagship devices launched!

The vanilla version comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED flat screen with 1080x2400 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,500 nits of brightness.

Meanwhile, the Pro model also has a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen, the difference would be the higher resolution which is 1440x3200. It also carries the same 120Hz refresh rate but this time in LTPO 2.0 panel. This means it should be able to dynamically change the frequency from 1 to 120 Hz.

At the helm of both devices, you'll find the 4nm 3.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, three options of memory configurations consisting of 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB.

The iQOO 9 Pro

As for their batteries, the smartphones both have 4,700mAh and will charge using a 120W super-fast charger. They also have a 10W reverse wireless charging feature, but the Pro model will have an additional fast wireless charging feature rated at 50W.

Moving to cameras, the vanilla model has a 50MP for the main sensor, 13MP 120-degree ultrawide snapper, and a 12MP 2x zoom lens.

The Pro variant also has the same 50MP main sensor but the ultrawide shooter is now 50MP with a 150-degree field of view, it also has a 16MP telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom.

As for the selfies, both phones also share the same 16MP shooter.

For connectivity, they both have 5G, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB-C port. For the Software, they both have OriginOS Ocean based on Android 12.

The vanilla model has three color options of either Black, Orange, or BMW edition. Meanwhile, the Pro only has two—an Orange and BMW edition.

Both smartphones will be available in China starting in January. However, we have no news yet for its availability here in the Philippines.
