Huawei P50 Pro and P50 Pocket are now available in PH stores!

After revealing its official local pricing and pre-order details, Huawei's new P50 Pro and P50 Pocket are now available in PH stores.

As a quick recap, the Huawei P50 Pro is the company's newest camera-focused flagship smartphone featuring Leica-enhanced camera sensors with HUAWEI XD Optics and XD Fusion Pro Image Engine technologies.

6.6-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate

These cameras are housed in a Dual-Matrix Camera hump design with two big circles for a "simplified, geometric design".

Inside the camera hump, you will find a  50MP f/1.8 True-Chroma Color Camera with True-Focus Fast Capture (Phase + Contrast focus), OIS + 40MP f/1.6 True-Chroma Mono Camera + 13MP f/2.2 120-degree ultra-wide-angle camera + 64MP f/3.5 Telephoto Camera with AF and OIS + LED flash. For selfies, it has a 13MP f/2.4 Wide Angle camera.

The back camera has up to a 200x zoom range. Both the back and front cameras can record up to 4K in video quality.

Meanwhile, the P50 Pocket is the company's first clamshell-type foldable smartphone. It features a large 6.9-inch inner display and a 1-inch circular AMOLED secondary display placed on its back. It also boasts a "no gap" folding mechanism made possible by Huawei's patented multi-dimensional hinge design.

Inside, it is using the 4G version of the 5nm Snapdragon 888 4G processor with Adreno 660 GPU.

As for the cameras, it uses a 40MP f/1.8 26mm True-Chroma primary camera + 13MP f/2.2 13mm ultra-wide-angle camera + 32MP f/1.8 30mm Ultra Spectrum (for more details) camera. It also has Laser AF and XD Fusion Pro technology to help users focus faster and improve the overall quality of the images it will take, respectively.

Note that Huawei P50 Pro and P50 Pocket will not be using the 5G version of SD888 due to the restrictions of US to Huawei.

Both don't have Google out of the box as well. But, they load with Huawei's own Mobile Services and AppGallery to download apps.

Huawei notes that its users can expect to download apps from delivery, mobile banking, cashless payment, entertainment, travel, and booking to games. Huawei also boasts that it has a growing variety of local apps as well.

Aside from Lazada and Shopee, its users may also restock groceries using WalterMart Delivery, MetroDeal: Shopping Discounts or purchase health and beauty care products from Watsons Philippines. For preloved items, Carousell is a useful app for users to dispose of or explore hidden gems. 

Huawei has also partnered Whaleboy, a renowned and multi-awarded Filipino artist, muralist, photographer, and environmental activist. He is known for his well-loved paintings, large-scale murals of dolphins, and other ecological issues in public places. Now, Huawei users can use some of his works every day simply by downloading them through Huawei Themes.
