realme GT 2 series will go global soon!

As a quick recap, the devices were first introduced in China early last month as one of the first phones in the world powered by the 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship chipset.

The realme GT 2 smartphones are also the first phones in the world bio-based polymer design that mimics the feel of paper, a sustainable product design in partnership with designer Naoto Fukusawa. The GT 2 Pro is also the first with a 150-degree super-wide-angle camera.

The realme GT 2 series are available in two versions.

The first one is with the vanilla GT 2 with specs as strong as most 2021 high-end smartphones.

In front, the device is boasting a 6.62-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1080p+ resolution, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, DC dimming, up to 1,300 nits brightness, In-Display fingerprint reader, and a punch-hole for the 16MP f/2.5 selfie camera.

Inside, the device is powered by the 2.84GHz 5nm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor with Adreno 660 GPU. It is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C 65W fast charging.

For cameras, you will find a 50MP Sony IMX766 main shooter + 8MP ultra-wide-angle + 2mP macro camera.

Next is the more powerful realme GT 2 Pro flagship.

This handset is boasting the world's first flat 6.7-inch AMOLED LTPO panel with 1 to 120Hz variable refresh rate, QHD+ 3216 x 1440 resolution, 100 percent DCI-P3 wide color gamut, JNCD 0.5, 1,400 nits brightness, In-Display fingerprint scanner, and a punch-hole for the 32MP f/2.4 Sony IMX615 selfie camera.

Under the hood, it is one of the first with the flagship 3.0GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 octa-core processor with a new-generation Adreno GPU. It is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage, and 5,000mAh battery with USB-C 65W charging that can fully charge the device from 0 to 100 percent in 33 minutes.

To keep the performance in check, it uses the Diamond ice core cooling system Plus tech with 100 percent heat source coverage. realme claims that this solution can reduce the core temperature by 19 percent.

For cameras, the handset is packed with a 50MP Sony IMX776 main shooter with OIS. It is also paired with a secondary 50MP Samsung ISOCELL camera with a whopping 150-degree field of view. realme notes that you can use this for ultra-wide shots and fish-eye camera effect. Lastly, it comes with a 2MP 40x microscopic camera.

The last new innovation that this device is offering is realme's own HyperSmart antenna switching technology boasting 12 wraparound antennas to cover all sides of the phones. This also mainstream bands in almost all directions with almost the same signal strength.

It always feels great to deliver something new and exciting to users worldwide, and the GT 2 Pro has brought the whole thing to the next level. Said Sky Li, realme CEO.
