Canalys: realme is number 1 mobile vendor in the Philippines for the entire 2021 and it is not even close

Based on the latest sell-in shipments report by Canalys, realme remained as the country's number 1 brand last Q4 2021. The study that the company is the top brand in the Philippines for the entire 2021.

realme is number 1 in the Philippines!

In Q4 2021, realme captured 20 percent of the market share with an annual growth of 8 percent.

At number 2 is vivo with 18 percent and -27 percent growth, Transsion (Infinix, TECNO, itel) with 14 percent of the pie and a massive +288 percent annual growth. OPPO is at number 4 at 14 percent with -47 percent growth followed by Samsung at 13 percent despite having an annual growth of 26 percent.

realme also topped the 3 other quarters of the year making it the top mobile brand in the Philippines for the entire 2021 based on sell-in shipments.

The overall unit share of realme for the entire year is a whopping 23 percent. The annual growth is at 19 percent.

At number 2 is vivo with 16 percent of the pie. OPPO is at number 3 with 15 percent, Samsung with 13 percent, and Xiaomi with 11 percent. Only Xiaomi and realme had positive annual growth for the entire 2021.

Canalys notes that OPPO's numbers don't include OnePlus.

For us, the success of realme could be attributed to its wide offline and online footprint along with its great marketing efforts and competitive products for the price.

Not bad for a 3-year-old brand.
