realme recently revealed that the company has retained its position as the number 1 smartphone vendor in the country. This is the third consecutive quarter this year that the company is at the very top spot of the Philippine market.
During the quarter, realme bolstered its mobile line in the country by launching the realme 8 5G (starts at PHP 10,990) and realme GT master Edition (starts at PHP 18,990) realme 8 5G is the company's most affordable 5G-ready offering while the GT Master Edition is a premium mid-ranger with an attractive price tag.
Our friends from revü reported that realme captured 26 percent of the market share once more to retain the number 1 position despite posting a negative 21 percent annual growth. This share is comfortably ahead of the number 2 OPPO with 19 percent unit share and 11 percent growth.
The rest of the top 5 brands suffered negative annual growth. Samsung is back at number 3 with 16 percent of the market share and negative 35 percent growth, Xiaomi is down to number 4 with 10 percent market share, and vivo dropped to number 5 with 9 percent of the pie.
