New Redmi phone in the country!

To recap, the Redmi Note 11 features a 6.43-inch FHD+ display with up to 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It is also protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Redmi Note 11 is IP53-rated which means it is splash-proof.

It sports an AI quad-camera with a 50MP main shooter and a 13MP selfie camera placed on the screen's center punch hole. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a 2.4GHz Snapdragon 680 6nm octa-core processor with Qualcomm Adreno 610 GPU,4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage.

On an initial look, here's what we've found on the Redmi Note 11.

Unboxing/Accessories

What's inside?
What's inside?

The unit arrives in the usual Xiaomi box we're all familiar with. It has the product render in front and some details at the bottom. Inside, we fin the unit, 33W power brick, USB-A to USB-C charging cable, silicone case, SIM ejector tool, and paper manuals.

There is no included 3.5mm earphones although the phone has a slot for it.

Build Quality/Design

The Redmi Note 11 has a plastic backplate, glass display, and a metal camera hump. Its SIM card tray has a rubber gasket for some sort of water resistance.

Despite its plastic build, the Redmi Note 11 is not as fragile as you think. It can sustain drops without breaking easily. After a few days of using it without a case, fingerprint smudges are visible. You can wipe it to clean, but we recommend using the free case to avoid smudges.

As mentioned above, the screen is Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected.

The backplate of the handset has a smooth, matte finish with a "Redmi" branding on the lower left and a camera hump on the upper right. Redmi Note 11 is easy on the palms and has a nice grip so with or without a case, we're not afraid of dropping it.

It's also worth noting that Redmi Note 11 has dual speakers with one place on top and the other at the bottom.

In front, you will find the 6.43-inch FHD+ display with 2400 x 1080 resolution and 1000 nits of peak brightness. It has a center punch hole that houses the 13MP selfie camera with slim side bezels and a large chin bezel.

The 3.5mm headphone jack slot, first of the dual speaker, microphone, and IR blaster are on top of the Redmi Note 11. At the bottom, we find the second speaker, USB-C charging slot, and secondary microphone.

The triple-slot SIM tray lies lonely on the left side of the handset. Meanwhile, the volume rocker and power button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner are on the right side.

In addition, Redmi Note 11 packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W Pro fast charging support. It also runs on the MIUI 13 based on Android 11. Aforementioned, the handset sports an AI quad-camera setup. It is made up of a 50MP f/1.8 main camera, 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, 2MP f/2.4 macro camera, and 2MP f/2.4 depth camera.

The phone weighs 179 grams and has dimensions of 159.87 x 73.87 x 8.09 mm. As you can see in the photos, we are loaned with the Graphite Gray variant.

The Redmi Note 11 is a promising phone with capable specs and nice features.

Aside from it not being a 5G phone and not including 3.5mm earphones, we're yet to find out more nitpicks on this unit. During our initial experience, everything is usable—from its nice design, beautiful display, and its first few camera samples.

We're excited to have an in-depth experience with the Redmi Note 11 and we'll see how it fares in real-life usage.

For the starting price of PHP 8,999, this is a pretty solid phone so far.

We'll be sharing with you our full review very soon!
