MWC 2022: TCL NxtPaper MAX 10, Tab 10 series launched

Yesterday TCL revealed a variety of tablets at the MWC 2022—the NxtPaper MAX 10 and the Tab 10 series alongside a teaser of something huge to arrive.

The NxtPaper MAX 10 is made to look and feel like a paper to make reading and writing more comfortable when using its included A-Pen stylus. It boasts a 10.36-inch FHD+ resolution panel which is made up of multiple layers where its top layer has anti-glare material to reduce reflections.

As of now, there's no info yet with the processor, memory configurations, and cameras used in this device. Although the tablet is equipped with a large 8,000mAh battery capacity and is rated to last up to 1,250 hours of standby time according to the brand.

It has WiFi and 4G LTE connectivity and will run Android 11 with TCL KIDS app support.

The next tablet unveiled is the upgraded version of TCL Tab 10s 4G, this time it has 5G-capable SoC from MediaTek.

It has the same 10.1-inch IPS LCD panel with FHD+ resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio.

Although the company did not mention which processor was used. But it could presumably be from the Dimensity series judging from the details shared by TCL. It has two Cortex-A78 cores at 2.4GHz and six A55 cores at 2.0GHz plus an integrated GPU of Mali-G57 MC2.

It still has the same 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, and an 8,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging tech. 

As for the camera, it has 8MP on the rear and 5MP for selfie shooting.

Others will be the dual speakers, it has WiFi 5, 5G, 4G, and Bluetooth 5.1 for connectivity.

Another device revealed is the TCL Tab 10 FHD 4G, a more affordable tablet with 10.1-inch IPS LCD screen with FHD+ resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio.

This is powered by a MediaTek chipset with an octa-core A53 processor and PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Alongside that is the 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage expandable via microSD.

The battery is toned down to 5,500mAh and has a 10W charger. This will obviously need a long time for charging though.

Meanwhile, the rear camera has 5MP and the selfie shooter has 5MP as well. Both of which are capable of taking 1080p videos at 30 frames per second.

This device has 4G connectivity, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It also runs Android 11 as its operating system.

The last tablet from the series is the TCL Tab 10 HD, it has mostly similar specs to the device mentioned above but with an HD screen of 1,280 x 800 resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Another difference is its memory configuration which 2GB RAM and 32GB memory and 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.

The rest of the details are the same but the 2GB/32GB variant will run Android 11 Go Edition.

Finally, TCL also teased another tablet called the Tab Pro 12 5G. As the name implies it will have a 12-inch display and a next-gen data connection. No other info was mentioned other than that.

Most of the tablets will be available in Asia in the middle of quarter 2 this year except for the Tab 10 HD which is now available in Europe. There's no information yet when it will arrive in the Philippines though so stay tuned for more updates.
