GCash is now Crypto-ready

In August last year, we reported that GCash is eyeing to roll out cryptocurrency trading on its platform. 

The mobile wallet company is fulfilling its goal as users can now purchase crypto or virtual currency at more affordable rates. GCash President and CEO Martha Sazon explained, 

With the continued expansion of the digital age, it’s vital for financial institutions like GCash to keep up with the trends and customers’ preferences, like cryptocurrency. And at GCash, we are doing just that to further enhance the customers’ experience and enable them to power up their finances for better lives. GCash will also continue to innovate and provide safe, relevant, and accessible financial services for all.

For PDAX, GCash allegedly requires low fees with cash-in at 3 percent and a fixed rate of PHP 10 for cash out. Moreover, the company said that it prioritizes the security and safety of every crypto user. 

GCash VP and  Head of Cryptocurrency Neil Trinidad said that users may have seamless transactions within the platform. He noted that this is ideal especial for those who are newbies in cryptocurrency.

The company claimed that it will further accelerate and strengthen its financial services and products to cater to the ever-changing needs of its users.
