Following its MWC Barcelona 2022 debut, realme on schedule today launched the realme GT 2 Pro globally. The company also revealed its official local pricing.

In the Philippines, the realme GT 2 Pro is available in the 12GB/256GB variant at PHP 34,990.

Impressive back design

To recap, this device features several first-in-the-world technologies.

It is one of the first phones in the world bio-based polymer design that mimics the feel of paper, a sustainable product design in partnership with designer Naoto Fukusawa. The GT 2 Pro is also the first with a 150-degree super-wide-angle camera.

The device is also the first to use the world's first flat 6.7-inch AMOLED LTPO panel with a 1 to 120Hz variable refresh rate, and QHD+ 3216 x 1440 resolution. This display also has a 100 percent DCI-P3 wide color gamut, JNCD 0.5, 1,400 nits brightness, In-Display fingerprint scanner, and a punch-hole for the 32MP f/2.4 Sony IMX615 selfie camera.

Inside, this device is one the first to introduce Qualcomm's 3.0GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 octa-core flagship processor with a new-generation Adreno GPU.

This device also features the first 50MP Samsung ISOCELL 150-degree ultra-wide camera with a fish-eye camera effect. This also has a 2MP 40x microscopic camera. The primary shooter is a 50MP Sony IMX776 main shooter with OIS.

realme also notes that this is the first with HyperSmart antenna switching technology boasting 12 wraparound antennas to cover all sides of the phones. This also mainstream bands in almost all directions with almost the same signal strength.

Other highlights of the device include the Diamond ice core cooling system Plus tech which is also known as Stainless Steel Vapor Cooling System with 100 percent heat source coverage. realme claims that this solution can reduce the core temperature by 19 percent as well as the USB-C 65W charging that can fully charge the device from 0 to 100 percent in 33 minutes.
