HMD Global brings Nokia C21 budget phone to the Philippines starting at PHP 5,490

HMD Global today announced that the company is bringing the Nokia C21 budget phone to the Philippine market.

Nokia has a new "sturdy" budget Android smartphone in town!

As a quick recap, the Nokia C21 is an affordable smartphone boasting an "excellent" build quality, "signature" security promises, and "all-day" battery life. It is also said to have upgraded photography, improved speed, and, more among others versus the C20 last year.

In particular, the handset is packed with a "sturdy" polycarbonate back design with micro-texture on the back and curved sides to ensure a good grip in style, a metal chassis, and a toughened cover glass for its 6.5-inch HD+ V-notch display.

Inside, it is still using the same 1.6GHz 28nm HPC+ UNISOC SC9863A octa-core processor with PowerVR GE8322 GPU and a removable 3,000mAh battery with slow micro USB 5W charging.

For cameras, Nokia upgraded the 5MP sensor to 8MP with AF and LED flash. The device also runs with the lightweight Android 11 (Go edition) OS with promised 2 years of security updates.

The Nokia C21 with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage is priced at PHP 5,490—almost PHP 1k more expensive than the C20.

It is now available at Memoxpress Online for PHP 5,490 with a FREE Nokia umbrella.

Starting April 18, it will be available at Nokia physical stores as well.

The company also noted that there is a 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage version, but it has no SRP yet.
