TVUP on Cignal TV is coming!

According to reports, this will allow the school to broadcast more video productions 24/7.

The current online-only only TVUP (UP's channel) will be available in more than 4 million homes using Cignal TV's satellite direct-to-home service.

The memorandum of agreement (MOA) was signed on June 23 at the new TVUP headquarters in the Student Union Building of UP Diliman by UP President Danilo Concepcion, Galang, and Cignal TV chief finance officer John Andal.

The Philippine Star reported that UP's upcoming TV channel will air original TVUP productions. TVUP productions previously produced 591 episodes of programs such as The Platform, Science Innovations, NOAH Updates, Maikling Pelikula, Kultura, Sining, Atbp., DRRM, the Documentaries: The Filipino series, Kalusugan at Karapatan, Batas at Bayan, Gender Talks, Financial Sense, Health Issues, UP Talks, CHE FN1, and Gulayan sa Tahanan.

This partnership allows us to expand our offerings to our more than 4.1 million subscribers and introduce distance learners to a new way of experiencing remote learning, Cignal TV President and CEO Robert Galang said.

There is no info on when will the channel be available yet.
