Wiko is one of the best-selling mobile brands last Lazada 6.6!

Wiko, the newest international mobile brand in the Philippines announced that it cracked into the top 5 of the Lazada 6.6 sale best-selling brand.

Wiko is top 5 at Lazada 6.6!

According to the company, it sold out its first 2,000 units within one day. This happened just 4 days after its official local launch, a remarkable achievement for a new brand as the Philippine smartphone market is very competitive.

A remarkable achievement?

It even topped the 2:00 AM to 9:00 AM sales and was ranked in the top 3 last Jun 6. For the entire day, it is at number 5 joining giants like realme, Xiaomi, POCO, and Samsung in the Mobiles and Tablets category.

The Lazada 6.6 sale is also one of the biggest online sale events of the year.

Just note that Wiko only entered the top 5 during the first day of the sale.

Wiko probably achieved this feat by being the newest brand in the country. Likely, the brand also attracted its younger generation target market who are seeking for affordable phones with an "elegant" look.

To recap, Wiko is a French company, a fully owned subsidiary of Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Tinno Mobile. The brand was started in Marseille, France by two long-time friends China's Tinno group CEO James Lin and Laurent Dahan, a French entrepreneur. It is present in over 30 countries around the world including Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Last June 2, the brand launched Wiko T50 and T10 budget phones priced at PHP 4,999 and PHP 11,999, respectively.
