MUJI x Honda introduced a new minimalist eBike!
MUJI partners with Honda to produce this electric scooter

Simple yet stunning electric bike for city driving

This electric scooter was developed in partnership with Honda by the Japanese retail giant. It seems that the bike's clean black and white design reflects the minimalist principle of MUJI.

Allegedly, this vehicle's design was taken up by the artistic director of MUJI Kenya Hara. The artist said that he was inspired by the company's H-type bicycle and other minimalist-style innovations.

Meanwhile, the Honda technology provides the bike's equipment and power. The MS01 is said to be a pedal-assisted, sit-down scooter. It sports a U-shaped body and small bike pedals for convenient access for riders of all sizes.

Apart from that, the electric bicycle is equipped with traditional handlebars with basic features. According to the source, this is designed to simplify the operation and maintain a relatively cheaper price. As a result, the electric scooter is the same as a standard electric bike without additional functionalities.

Moreover, this MUJI scooter got 17-inch tubeless tires that are said to manage all sorts of on-road riding. The 400W hub-mounted motor on the MS01 enables it to run at a maximum speed of 25 kilometers per hour (16 miles per hour).

Inside the scooter, it is powered by a regenerative EBS power system and a 48V/20Ah lithium battery. MUJI claims that a single charge can cover 65 kilometers (41 miles) of distance. In a rough estimate, users only need to charge it once or twice a week and can withstand hours of daily riding depending on usage.

It's a limited edition scooter and will be produced in 5,000 pieces only. There's no word yet if Honda and Muji are planning to release the scooter to other regions.

We really wish that they will bring this pretty scooter soon to the Philippines.

Do you guys agree?
