Red Magic has a new set of gaming phones called the 7S and 7S Pro both of which are equipped with beastly internals.

Two Red Magic gaming phones announced!

Both smartphones retain the brand's iconic gamery vibe design. They also have 6.8-inch AMOLED 10-bit screens with FHD+ resolution, and DC dimming. The difference would be the 7S has a 165Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate while the Pro has a 120Hz refresh rate and 960Hz touch sampling rate.

Inside, they carry the 4nm 3.2GHz SD 8+ Gen 1 octa-core processor with Adreno 730 GPU. To recall this chipset is the overclocked version of the SD8G1 SoC, which promises a 10 percent increase in CPU and GPU performance and 30 percent more efficient power draw.

The two handsets also have different RAM and Storage configurations. 7S has 8GB, 12GB, 16GB RAM and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

On the other hand, the 7S Pro gets a little bit higher with 12GB, 16GB, 18GB of RAM, and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB UFS 3.1 internal space.

The lower variant gets a 4,500mAh battery size with USB-C 120W fast charging support. However, the provided adapter is a 165W GaN charger that can be used for other supported electronics.

The Pro model has a higher 5,000mAh battery and USB-C 135W fast charging support. nubia says it can charge 0-50 percent in just 5 mins and will be full in 15 minutes only.

On the camera side, both of them have the same sensors such as the 64MP main, 8MP ultrawide shooter, and 2MP macro helper. As for the selfie shooter, they are also identical with 8MP but the Pro version uses "under-display technology" while the vanilla version is squizzed to fit in the slim top bezel.

Other features would be the shoulder triggers with a 520Hz touch sampling rate, RGB lighting, and the 9-layer and 10-layer cooling system for vanilla and Pro respectively.

The phones also have stereo speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack. For connectivity, the phones have WiFi 6+, 5G, 4G LTE, and GPS.

For the OS, both gaming phones run Android 12 with Redmagic 5.5 UI skin on top.

The devices can now be preordered while the official sale will begin on July 15 in China. No news yet on its availability in the Philippine market.
