ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED with 2.8K screen and up to Ryzen 7 6800U chip arrives in PH!

Taiwanese tech giant ASUS today launched its newest premium notebook in the country called the Zenbook S 13 OLED.

The ASUS is a slim notebook with a sleek lightweight magnesium-aluminum chassis in Ponder Blue, Refined White, Aqua Celadon, and Vestige Beige colors and a beautiful 13.3-inch OLED screen.

The OLED display it uses has VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black, PANTONE, and TÜV Rheinland certifications. To achieve that, its OLED panel has a 2.8K 2880 x 1800 resolution, 100 percent sRGB, 0.0005 nits of deep back brightness, 550 nits peak brightness, and 0.2 ms response time.

For better flexibility and allow it to be used in several scenarios, it has a new hinge design with 180 degrees tilting angle. It also has an 89 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Inside, the device comes with either a 4.5GHz 6nm AMD Ryzen 5 6600U 6-core processor with AMD Radeon 660M and 8GB LPDDR5 RAM or a 4.7GHz 6nm AMD Ryzen 7 6800U octa-core processor with AMD Radeon 680M and 16GB LPDDR5 RAM.

Both arrived with 512GB PCIe 4.0 x4 NMVe SSD internal storage and 67WHr Li-Pol battery. It can be charged via USB-C at 65W. It also supports USB PD charging. ASUS is also claiming that the cell they used has 3x more battery health than the usual cells.

Other specs and features of the devices include an FHD webcam w/ 3DNR (noise reduction tech), ErgoSense Keyboard with 1.4mm key travel (backlit), NumberPad 2.0 with ErgoSense, Harman Kardon speakers, Dolby Atmos, Smart Amp, AI Noise Canceling, WiFi 6E, WiFi Stabilizer, Bluetooth 5.2, 3x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, 1x audio combo jack, and Windows 11 Home operating system with Microsoft Office 2021 Home & Student lifetime license.

It measures 296.7 x 210.5 x 14.9 mm and weighs 1.0 kg.

The new laptops are now available in all ASUS concept stores and partner dealers nationwide. 

Also, ASUS said that for every purchase of the new ZenBook S 13 OLED, users will get a chance to win a Zara Juan "Zen Tote" worth PHP 8,500.

Meanwhile, Home Credit is also offering up to 12 months of installment with 0 percent interest for PHP 4,533 per month.
