Xiaomi on schedule today launched its newest budget phone in the country called Redmi A1.

Priced at PHP 4,499, it is the most affordable smartphone that the company released in the Philippines this year (2022).

The device is boasting a stylish flat frame unibody design with anti-fingerprint smudge texture in Black, Light Green, and Light Blue colors, a large 6.52-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a notch for a 5MP selfie camera with AI face beauty, a 2.0GHz 12nm Helio A22 quad-core processor, 2GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 2GB Memory Extension (using the internal storage) to improve phone's efficiency and processing capabilities, 32GB expandable storage, large 5,000mAh battery with up to 22 hours video playback and 10W charging, and an 8MP + Auxillary lens dual-cam setup allowing it to take Portrait shots.

The device run with the clean and lightweight Android 12 (Go edition) operating system. This OS promises up to 2 years of timely security updates.
