Sony ZV-1F compact camera for vloggers and content creators now official

Sony ZV-1F just launched as the company's newest compact camera geared toward vloggers and content creators. It is a more affordable version of ZV-1.

The 20.1MP 1.0-type (13.2mm x 8.8mm) Exmor RS CMOS sensor included in the ZV-1F is identical to that found in the ZV-1. The ZV-1F sports a fixed primary lens that is 20mm (35mm equivalent) with an f/2.0 aperture instead of a variable zoom lens. 

Due to the wide FOV, it is great for hand-held vlogging situations because you no longer need to extend your arm to fit yourself and other people in the frame. Additionally, it offers a longer focal length for uses like street photography.

The Sony ZV-1F can capture 4K video at up to 30 frames per second. S-Log2, S-Log3, and HLG are just a few of the picture profiles that Sony offers, but it's important to remember that the ZV-1F can only record in 8-bit 4:2:0, making it less than ideal for performing extensive color grading. You can also use a wireless smartphone connection to record and upload directly. The ZV-1F can also record vertical videos, making it perfect for Instagram and TikTok.

A windshield is included with the camera's built-in directional 3-capsule microphone. The 3.5mm mic jack can be used to attach an external microphone, but there is no hot shoe. Additionally, micro HDMI is included, and USB-C has been added instead of micro USB from the ZV-1.

The SteadyShot digital image stabilization, which is the only type of stabilization offered by this camera, Eye AF, object tracking, Product Showcase mode for swiftly and automatically switching focus between your face and an object in your hand, Soft Skin Effect, and the same 2.95-inch 921,600 dots articulating touchscreen display is also included.

The Sony ZV-1F will be available in late October internationally. Local pricing and availability are yet to be confirmed. We will update you as soon as we get more information.

Sony Philippines has started teasing it. So, it will likely be available in the country soon.
