Local telco giant Globe today announced that its eSIM is now available on its digital platform, the New Globe Online Shop (www.new.globe.com.ph).

The company announced this just hours after Apple made its new iPhone 14 Series officially available for purchase in the Philippines. To recap, apart from its latest specs and features, the new iPhones are eSIM-ready smartphones.

This is not the first time that Globe launched an eSIM though. Back in 2018, it is the first in the local market to bring the said technology to mobile devices. This tech enables seamless connections on mobile devices while advocating for a sustainable eco-conscious lifestyle as you won't be needing a physical plastic SIM card anymore.

Just last year, Globe then launched the ONENUMBER technology, another first in the Philippines allowing customers to share the same number between their phones and watches, on Apple devices.

This simply means that the iPhone plan inclusions such as data allowance, calls, and texts are shared with a paired Apple Watch. Globe added that its customers will also get an additional 1GB per month when subscribed to the said service.

So, even if you left your iPhone, you will still be connected to your Apple Watch.

Anyway, those who will get an iPhone 14 or Apple Watch with eSIM can simply subscribe to Globe's GPlan and choose eSIM as the preferred SIM type.
Once the application is approved, customers will get the eSIM activation QR code through their registered email addresses.

They can
also get it at a discounted rate with GPlan Plus SIM-only, bundled with GPlan with the device, or just the Apple device of their choice that comes with a free Globe Prepaid SIM and VR Goggles at SRP.

Globe continues to be the forerunner of innovation in the country, driving adoption of digitalization. Offering eSIM on the New Globe Online Shop allows customers to easily adapt to this new technology, said Coco Domingo, Vice President of Globe Postpaid and International Business.

Customers may also visit physical Globe Stores to avail of the latest Apple devices with eSIM. They can pay via charge to bill, zero interest on installments up to 36 months via select credit cards, and GCash's installment offer GGives.
