DJI Mavic 3 Classic with 4/3 f/2.8 Hasselblad camera and 46 minute flight time launched!

DJI has introduced the Mavic 3 Classic camera drone with a 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad camera that can capture 5.1K and 46 minute flight time.

The new drone features a 20MP 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad camera with an aperture of f/2.8 to f/11, a 24mm equivalent focal length and Vision Detection Autofocus. It is stabilized with a 3-axis gimbal with a max tilt of 100 degrees.

Images can be saved as 12-bit RAW with 12.8 stops of native dynamic range. It can record up to 5.1K at 50fps, 4k/60fps and 1080/60fps. It supports Hasselblad's natural color solution which the company says produces true and realistic color.

On the frontal area of the drone is the horizontal omnidirectional vision sensor system while on the belly of the drone is the downward vision sensor system. There are a total of eight vision sensors around the drone that allows it to detect area from 200 meters away and allows the drone to return home if necessary.

The drone uses the same 5,000mAh battery as the rest of the Mavic 3 series which yields a maximum of 46 minutes of flight time. It takes approximately 96 minutes to fully charge one battery.

DJI says that the drone is simple, easy-to-use interface makes it work out of the box and it can be adjusted for fine controls and easily take photos and videos that can be shared, edited and used in post-production.

It features the ActiveTrack 5.0 technology that uses several vision sensors to recognize targets, lock them in the frame and move the drone and camera together to make 'professional-quality' film.

It now comes with a 'Cruise Control' feature that lets the pilot set a steady speed for the drone's flight.

With built-in WiFi 6, the drone can quickly transfer drone images and video to a mobile phone at 80MB per second without the remote controller.

The Mavic 3 Classic measures 221 x 96.3 x 90.3 mm and weighs 895 grams. It has a maximum flight distance of 30Km and can hover for 40 minutes. It has an internal storage of 8GB.

The drone is now available for purchase in the United States. There is no word yet on Philippine availability and pricing.
