Personally, the HUAWEI Mate Series is one of my most highly anticipated phone releases each year.
History of Mate

Starting with the first Mate in 2013 to the Mate 40 Pro in 2020, the "phablet" series of the tech giant always have a world-first or never before seen innovation on commercially released mobile devices.

However, this trend stopped when HUAWEI failed to release a Mate last year, 2021.

But in this year 2022, the company released the Mate 50 Series first in China. AND recently, the tech giant announced that it is now official for the Philippine market too.

Anyway, before we do a round-up of what the Mate 50 Pro has to offer, let's take a look back at the innovations that the Mate Series presented through the years.

Our thoughts on the Mate 50 Pro

The Mate Series in PH!
The Mate Series in PH!

Similar to all the Mates we tried in the past, the HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro delivered some of the most exciting innovations we’ve seen on a smartphone.

It is one of the most attractive phones we have tested this year as it made us enjoy its use of a very durable yet attractive-looking body, the powerful XMAGE aperture cameras, the strong hardware, and the software tricks that HUAWEI implemented to make the lives of its users easier.

This is a worthy 10th gen successor of its storied Mate series.

Anyway, in the Philippines, the HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro is available in two variants.

The regular glass model with 256GB storage is priced at PHP  58,999 while the version with Vegan Leather, Kunlun Glass, and 512GB storage retails for PHP 68,999.
