Duplicate transactions in BPI accounts

In a social media post, the Ayala-led bank said it is already working to address the issue.

Some ATM, CAM deposits, POS and e-commerce debit transactions from December 30 to 31, 2022 were posted twice, the bank said.

We are already working to reverse the duplicate transactions. Rest assured that your account is safe and secure. Thank you, it added.

Angry clients posted on social media how certain amounts were suddenly credited to their accounts under the entry "0431 debit memo."

As of writing, the BPI app is inaccessible.

BPI said in an updated post that correction is expected within the day.

Given the high volume of inquiries on our online banking channels, you may experience intermittent access to our web and mobile app platforms, it said. Rest assured that your account is safe and secure.

BPI users there, what has been your experience so far?
