Tech giant HUAWEI today announced that the Kunlun Glass upgrade is now available on its older flagship phones.

In particular, the glass protection upgrade is now available for the P40, P40 Pro, P50, P50 Pro, and Mate 40 Pro in the Philippines.

To those who missed it, Kunlun Glass first debuted on the HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro Vegan Leather version.

Kunlun Glass is its latest glass protection developed after 4 years of research.

According to the company, helps the phone withstand up to 32 kg of pressure or 10x better drop resistance than regular glass.

It uses nanocrystals, using 24-hour high-temperature nanocrystal growth, 108-step micro-crystalline matrix material processing, and 1600-degree Celsius platinum smelting technology.

In total, it uses 10 quadrillion-level nanocrystals to significantly increase the toughness of the glass.

As a result, it is the first smartphone to ever receive SGS's 5-star certification for glass drop protection.

Our tests, it showed that it can withstand multiple hard drops. It is HUAWEI's most durable glass yet.
