nubia REDMAGIC 8 Pro w/ SD8G2 + gaming chip is now official!

nubia recently introduced the REDMAGIC 8 Pro, a flagship-grade gaming phone.

A new beastly gaming phone!

First announced in China last month, the device features a flashy-looking back design that gamers might like and a 6.8-inch 10-bit OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 960Hz touch sampling rate, FHD+ 2480 x 1116 resolution, 93.7 percent of screen-to-body ratio with 1.48mm narrow side bezels.

The other thing that made its screen "special" is its use of a 16MP under-display selfie camera for a punch-hole or notch-free viewing experience.

Inside, it is powered by the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with New Adreno GPU.

The device also has 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, 512GB UFS 4.0, and a 6,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C 65W fast charging tech.

Keeping the device cool is the ICE 11.0 magic cooling system. It comes with a built-in fan, full-through air duct, the first 3D ice-level dual-pump 2068mm³ super large VC liquid cooling, graphene under the screen, and up to 10 layers of cooling materials.

According to the company, it can drop the temperature by 16 percent.

For cameras, it is using a 50MP 1/1.57-inch Samsung GN5 sensor, 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera.

The device also has a built-in "gaming chip" called Red Core 2 with improved shoulder keys, enhancing vibrations, defining game lighting effects, and enhancing sound effects.

The device also has 520Hz touch sampling shoulder triggers and X-axis linear motor.

The rest of the specs

For speakers, you will find 1115K + 1216 ultra-linear stereo speakers, Snapdragon Sound technology for up to 96kHz output with 48ms low latency. It even has Dual Smart PA, a 3.5mm audio jack, and 3 microphones.

The device also has WiFi 6E, 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS (L1 + L5), GLONASS, and dual SIM slots.

It runs on Android 13OS with Redmagic OS 6.0 skin.

It measures 163.98 x 76.35 x 8.9 mm and weighs 228 grams.
