Sony launched a more budget-friendly portable music player called the NW-A306 Walkman which comes with modern digital features.
The Sony NW-A306 appeared like a small smartphone, but it still retained most of the iconic look of a Walkman. You'll find horizontal texture at the rear while on the side there are dedicated buttons for the music player as well as the power button. It is also light in weight at 113 grams and sleek with 98 x 56.5 x 11.8mm measurements.
It uses a 3.6-inch display with 1280 x 720 HD resolution. Since the screen size is on the smaller side, the images should still look crisp.
As a music player, Sony equipped the device with S-Master HD digital amp technology so it can produce Hi-Res audio for HD playback at 24-bit/96kHz and higher.
As for storage, you can choose between 32GB or 64GB to store thousands of music.
Another notable feature will be its battery life, as Sony claims it can last for 26-36 hours depending on how high the quality of audio you're playing.
Meanwhile, it also supports Hi-Res wirelessly using the LDAC Bluetooth codec and DSD playback that can run formats of up to 11.2MHz with PCM conversion.
Additionally, they supported Qualcomm aptX HD, DSEE Ultimate, the Vinyl processor, MQA technology, and 360-degree spatial audio.
Lastly, it runs Android 12 software allowing users to Install music streaming apps like Spotify, YouTube music, or Apple Music.
