HUAWEI showcases the Watch Buds 2-in-1 wearable!

HUAWEI releases a combination of a Smartwatch and a pair of TWS earbuds inside of it.

The concept is not entirely new as you've probably seen some on shopping platforms from a generic brand. The idea is still useful because it somehow removes the need to carry or forget that extra device with it.

The duo being worn

The earbuds come in a tiny shape with no markings for left and right as they are capable of smartly knowing which ear they are placed in. While the body is designed with a symmetrical shape with measurements of 21mm length and 10mm width.

It doesn't have contacts so the earbuds can just pop back into the Smartwatch/case without the need to adjust their placements.

These earbuds feature Planar drivers with quad magnets, ANC, dual microphones, wear detection wind noise suppression, and a gesture control system.

The smartwatch itself

Meanwhile, the smartwatch has a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with magnetic locks to close the lid for the earbuds. There's a special hinge built to last up to 100,000 openings to ensure its durability.

The smartwatch also features IPX7 water resistance when closed, while the buds have an IPX4 rating. 

The bottom part has health sensors for heart rate and is capable of tracking your activities and workouts as well.

They can connect on both Android and iOS through the HUAWEI app.

For the battery, the smartwatch can last for up to three days while the buds can be used for 3 hours with ANC on. Although the downside here is that the battery for devices is affected particularly when the earbuds are charging.

The preorder started last February 15 while the official deliveries are expected to arrive on March 1 in the U.K. No word yet for PH availability though.
