Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23+ unveiled w/ SD8 Gen 2, Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays!

Samsung's latest version of flagships is here in the form of the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S23+.

The Galaxy S23 Series

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Series is now official!

The two smartphones arrived in an almost similar design. This time though, they have rounded corners but they will be different in terms of screen size, storage, battery life, and charging speed.

Both of them arrive with 4 colorways you can choose from namely Black, Cotton, Green, and Violet.

Starting with the vanilla Galaxy S23 comes with a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with 2340 x 1080 resolution at 425 ppi, Infinity-O display, adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, up to 240Hz touch sampling rate, HDR 10+ support, and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

While the Plus version has a bigger 6.6-inch screen with similar display details except the pixel density is a bit lower at 393 ppi.

The Galaxy S23+

Both arrive with the latest 4nm 3.2GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 octa-core processor with next-gen Adreno GPU as well as 8GB of RAM. However, they will differ in the storage option as the vanilla model gets 128GB/256GB while the Plus variant gets 256GB/512GB choices.

In the battery department, the standard model has a 3,900mAh size alongside the 25W USB-C wired charging. The Galaxy S23+ gets a bigger 4,700mAh battery and 45W power brick. Although both versions have the same 10W wireless charging capability.

The standard Galaxy S23

For cameras, both are equipped with 50MP f/1.8 85-degree 23mm, OIS, dual pixel sensor + 12MP f/2.2 120-degree 13mm ultra-wide-angle shooter + 10MP f/2.4 36-degree 69mm telephoto shooter w/ 3x optical zoom.

Meanwhile, they are identical to the selfie shooter as well with 12MP f/2.2 80-degree 25mm sensor.

Other features listed are the IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, 2x stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and In-display ultrasonic fingerprint readers.

Connectivity-wise the two devices have 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, dual-SIM (nano), and E-SIM.

For software, both phones run Android 13 w/ Samsung One UI 5.1.
