On Twitter, Elon Musk's SpaceX firm announced that Starlink is now available in the Philippines.
Starlink Philippines!

The wait is over!

To recap, last year, the company shared that they plan to cover the entire archipelago with its "high-speed, low-latency" broadband internet service by the middle of 2023. It is in partnership with Sy-led Data Lake Incorporation.

Starlink is a division of the American aerospace company SpaceX owned by Musk. It uses approximately 1,500 low-earth orbit satellites that can provide connectivity even in areas that cannot be reached by traditional connectivity such as fiber or mobile data.

According to its website, customers in the Philippines will be able to enjoy download speeds of 50-200 Mbps.

Customers in your region typically see download speeds of 50-200 Mbps. No contracts, 30-day trial. PhilSys Card Number (PCN) is optional Shipping times are currently estimated to be 2-3 weeks from order.

The fee is PHP 2,700 per month for the service and there is a one-time payment of PHP 29,320 for the hardware. We do not know if this is just a promo, but it is more affordable than the USD 99 or around PHP 5.7K shared by DICT earlier this year.
