The Taiwan-based chip maker releases its new 5G processor which is could be the successor to the 3-year-old Dimensity 700 series.
The new SoC is designed to improve regular smartphone use by providing faster app performance. With its HyperEngine 3.0 Lite tech, this will provide a more stable internet and a speedier network response.
Dimensity 6020 is made from 7nm lithography with 2x Cortex A-76 with 2.2GHz frequency coupled with 6x Cortex-A55 efficiency cores at 2.0GHz clock speed. For the integrated GPU, it comes with Mali-G57 MC2.
In terms of display, the chip supports FHD+ resolution, up 120Hz refresh rate, and a 64MP camera. While video recording can only do up to 2K resolution.
For memory, it has LPDDR4X RAM support and UFS 2.2 for storage.
On the connectivity side, the chipset has 5G with support for sub 6GHz while the WiFi supports 5th gen, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC.
The processor is first seen on the iQOO Z7i and is rumored to arrive on a realme smartphone.
