A new tactile experience for smartphones?

OnePlus is proud to introduce the new limited edition OnePluss 11 because it is the first smartphone with a 'natural texture'. It is using a volumetric microcrystalline rock material that has never been used in the smartphone industry until today.

The company claims that the material provides a unique tactile experience that sets it apart from other smartphones in the market. Included promotional images depict the striking design with a rough, textured back panel that mimics the look and feel of natural rock formations.

Otherwise, it is the same OnePlus 11 we know and love. It features a 6.7-inch 10-bit LTPO Super Fluid AMOLED screen with a 3216 x 1440 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Inside is the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, New Adreno GPU, LPPDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging.

At the back of the phone are Hasselbrand branded cameras made up of a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera, 48MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera and a 32MP f/2.0 telephoto camera with an LED flash. While in front is the 16MP f/2.45 selfie camera.

Other features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 6.3, GPS, NFC and dual Nano SIM support. It does not have a 3.5mm audio jack nor does it have wireless charging.

It originally came in Eternal Green and Titan Black colorways.

While we were writing this article, the listing of the Jupiter Rock Edition from OPPO china's webstore has since been removed.

There was no listed price and there is no indicated date of availability for the Chinese market.

There is also no word yet if it will arrive in the Philippine market.
