According to the detailed results, the phone produces good exposure, decent detail, and accurate and repeatable autofocus in most situations for photos. However, it struggles with white balance and low light. The cameras also were found to produce unwanted artifacts, halo effects, ghosting, and color quantization on moving subjects.

In Video, the phone received high scores in exposure, color, noise levels, and stabilization which yielded an overall score of 115 in the video department.

Overall, DxOmark says that the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G delivered an above-average performance in the High-End device segment. The still images are good in good lighting where they produce good exposure, wide dynamic range, and fairly detailed images. In the video, it offers accurate and fast video autofocus. However, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G struggled in low light and in some areas in the video.
