vivo Y78 launched with Dimensity 7020, 120Hz display and 50MP camera!

vivo announces a new smartphone from the Y-series called the Y78.

vivo Y78 is now official!

The phone comes in a stylish rear design that closely resembles the V27e but in different colorways of Peach and Green. The Black color variant on the other hand features a much simpler look with no patterns.

At the front, it uses a 6.64-inch LCD (IPS) with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 96 percent NTSC color gamut.

Inside, it uses the 6nm MTK Dimensity 7020 with IMG BXM-8-256 GPU. If you're not familiar, the said chip is based on the previous Dimensity 930 announced last year.

Moving forward, the chip is paired with the 8GB or 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.

Meanwhile, the battery has a 5,000mAh capacity that charges using USB-C and 44W fast charging adaptor.

For cameras, the phone is equipped with a 50MP primary shooter paired with a 2MP for depth sensing. For selfies, it has an 8MP front-facing camera.

Other features noted are a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

For connectivity, it has 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6E (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and dual SIM.

For OS, it runs Android 13 with OriginOS 3 skin overlay.

It is now available to order in China and the sale begins on May 13th. Meanwhile, vivo has to announce yet if there will be a PH availability.
