Insta360 GO 3 announced: Smallest action camera, ultra-wide 2.7K vids, FlowState Stabilization, flip screen, better battery life

China-based camera firm Insta360 today launched the GO 3. They dubbed it as a "tiny mighty" action cam.

According to the company, it is the world's smallest action camera measuring just 54.4 x 25.6 x 23.2 mm (Screen Folded), and weighs just 35.5 grams without the Action Pod.

Its body has IPX4 splashproof against water splashes and IPX8 waterproof up to 16 feet and has a magnetic design. Insta360 even added 3x in-the-box accessories like Easy Clip, Pivot Stand, Lens Guard, and Magnet Pendant (first-person view).

This is also compatible with the Action Pod which upgrades its 45 minutes battery life (310mAh) to 170 minutes (1,270mAh). Insta360 also added a Flip Touchscreen on the Action Pod so you can easily frame your selfies, do vlogging, and accurate handheld shooter as well as use it as a remote.

The GO 3 could be charged from 0 to 100 percent in just 35 minutes via USB-C. Meanwhile, the Action Pod needs 64 minutes to 100 percent.

For the camera, it uses an ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 11.24mm (3mm Equivalent Focal Length) that can record up to 2.7K videos at 30fps or 2K 1440p at 50fps.

It also highlights the FlowState Stabilization using its 6-axis gyroscope for steadier shots and 360-degree Horizon Lock leveling technology, 

It also has Voice Control 2.0 for hands-free QuickCapture and 2x built-in microphones for "vlog-ready" audio.

Other features include TimeShift, 4x 120fps Slow Motion, PureShot HDR with AI, and Timelapse.

It also has an AI-assisted Auto Editing function for easy videos that you can immediately post on your social accounts.

On its website, Insta360 even allows its users to design their own look for the GO 3 with Custom Skins.

For connectivity, it has WiFi 5GHz and BLE 5.0. The available storage options include 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB.
