A new look on the Play Store of big-screen devices!

With the revamped look this specialized Play Store will prioritize games with high-quality videos while users can view video banners above the app's listing page letting them get a glimpse of the gameplay before installing the app.

Google also arranged the information pages of apps and games in a multi-column layout, placing content higher up on the app listing page.

The American tech giant has also made multiple app ranking changes to the specialized Play Store to promote the apps that may be suitable for foldable and tablets alike.

Apps that scale well across devices, aren't letterboxed, and support both portrait and landscape orientations will fare higher in search results.

Meanwhile, Google said that they will also consider Editor's Choice and other curated collections and articles. This is their way of encouraging developers to make their apps more suitable for large-screen devices.

Furthermore, Google also optimized the Play Store navigation for big-screen units. Right now you can see the left-side navigation rail on these devices. Menu items are now closer to your thumbs and more accessible, especially when holding a large-screen device in landscape mode.

Finally, they also added a split-screen search that will make it easier for users to navigate and compare apps from within the search results page on the Play Store. Users will view both search results and app information pages. This keeps them from switching between apps when looking for new ones.

Google stated they will roll out these changes in the next coming weeks.
