HTC Wildfire E Star launched: 6.5-inch LCD, UNISOC SC9832E, and Android 12 Go Edition!

After HTC's initial attempt for a comeback in the mid-range segment, now the brand is trying its luck in the entry-level department.

HTC Wildfire E Star launched!

HTC unveiled the Wildfire E star bearing a simple design in a matte Black colorway. You can also find the logo of the brand at the center of the back.

The big display

At the front, the phone uses a 6.5-inch LCD (IPS) screen with HD+ resolution, 81 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a 20:9 aspect ratio.

Inside, it is powered by UNISOC SC9832E 4-core processor with 28nm 1.3GHz Mali-T820 MP GPU. It is paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage.

For battery, it uses a seemingly low 3,000mAh size and charges using USB-C + 5W power brick.

On the camera side, it has 8MP rear camera and 0.08MP QVGA helper. For selfies, it has 5MP fixed focus sensor.

Runs Android 12 Go Edition

Other features mentioned are a side-mounted fingerprint reader and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

For connectivity, it has 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and dual SIM.

As for OS, the device boots Android 12 Go Edition

Unfortunately, there are no pricing and availability details yet but the phone is listed on the HTC Africa website.
