PLDT records PHP 18.5 billion profit in January-June period

PLDT's net income rises in the first half of 2023

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the company said its service revenues slightly went up by 1 percent to PHP 94.5 billion, with home and enterprise businesses leading the growth.

PLDT said data and broadband contributed 82 percent or PHP 77.5 billion of its consolidated service revenues.

Its Home's fiber-only service revenues climbed 11 percent to PHP 25.7 billion during the period, with the subscriber base rising to 3.1 million as of end-June.

PLDT's enterprise unit, meanwhile, booked PHP 23.2 billion in revenues, buoyed by the growth of its data center and cloud business.

The telco also noted "improving growth trends" for its individual wireless business, which posted revenues of PHP 40.2 billion in the period.
