Apple updates AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C and more!

The new AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C port can now support 20-bit, 48-KHz Lossless Audio however there's a particular condition to activate it. You'll need the Apple Vision Pro Headset before you can utilize the Lossless music feature.
USB-C finally!
USB-C finally!

Apple claims that the H2 chip in the AirPods Pro 2 and the Vision Pro enables the transmission of lossless audio, which begs the question of why the capability was absent from last year's Lighting port version.

Anyway, it still has robust ANC, adaptive transparency mode, Personalized Spatial Audio, 6 hours of listening time per bud, and up to 30 hours w/ case.

Another change is the IP54 rating on both the buds and the case which means it can handle some sweat better than the previous IPX-4 rating. It also has four sizes for eartips such as XS, S, M, and L.

Finally, Apple also highlights the 100 percent recycled rare earth elements in all magnets and 100 percent recycled gold in the plating of multiple printed circuit boards.

The primary logic board's solder and the hinge's aluminum are both made entirely from recycled materials in the case.

AirPods Pro 2 includes zero potentially hazardous compounds such as mercury, BFRs, PVC, or beryllium. The exterior plastic wrap has been removed from the redesigned packaging, and 90 percent or more of the packaging is constructed from fiber-based materials, putting Apple closer to its goal of eliminating plastic from all packaging by 2025.
