GFX100II's rear design and battery |
Now in 2023, the company has redesigned the body to be smaller but with aggressive angular lines.
Inside is the new 102-megapixel high-speed image sensor paired with the X-Processor 5 which yields double the signal readout speed compared to the previous generation. This offers unique benefits such as high-speed continuous shooting, faster autofocus and higher-bit rate video.
It can now shoot up to 8fps from the previous generation's 5fps. It also comes with an expanded buffer to allow for longer bursts.
This pairing also allows the camera to record internally Apple ProRes 4:2:2, 10-bit video at 4K/60p and 8K/30p. It is compatible with optional, third-party GF to PL lens adapters.
The camera is equipped with an Ethernet port, HDMI Type-A port, USB-C, and Dual card slots (1 CFExpress TM Type-B, 1 SD card).
Like all Fujifilm mirrorless cameras, it comes with a wide selection of FUJIFILM film simulations based on its inventory of film stock. This includes the new REALA ACE which the brand says offers neutral color reproduction suitable for most subject types.
The sensor is stabilized by a 5-axis in-body image stabilization at up to 8 stops. It also has a 1.0x viewfinder, a 9.44 million-dot EVF, a sub-LCD top panel and a tilt-screen.

One of these tilt-shift lenses even has macro capabilities.
